All the pint-sized travel gadgets and accessories you need for tiny travellers.
These are the baby travel essentials we have road-tested on various trips around the UK, New York and Mykonos while Miles was between the ages of 0 to 12 months.
I’ll keep adding to and updating the list as I come across new items or he grows out of some of the below but here’s everything helpful we’ve used to travel with our baby so far.
(Everything on this list I’ve bought and paid for myself and am under no obligation to recommend. Some of the links are Amazon affiliate links which means I make a small commission if you make a purchase – click here for details.)
Best Travel Items For Babies Under 12 Months
Cozigo – airline bassinet cover that doubles up as a stroller sunshade.
Car seat cover – with handy backpack shoulder straps.
Graco Pack ‘n Play Reversible Napper and Changer Playard – this is a super handy travel cot that doubles as a playyard and changing table. Has a bassinet insert so can be used from newborn. We bought ours in the UK but I’ve found this version in the UK.
Mountain buggy clip on high chair – folds super flat & clips onto tables so great for having the baby sit with you while eating out. Suitable from 6 months.
Silver Cross Jet Stroller – weighs less than 6kg, can be wheeled like luggage and folds small enough to fit in overhead locker. Reclines fully flat so can be used from newborn with no inserts. Also compatible with Silvercross Simplicity car seat using adaptors. I recommend you add the Cool Breeze Seat Liner from Nowababy to keep your little one cool, dry and comfy in warmer climates.
BabyBjorn mini carrier – super light and cosy. I carried Miles through the airport and onto the plane in this and wore it around many places in New York that aren’t stroller friendly.
Clear toiletry bag – this set of 3 covered me, Justin and the baby!
Packing cubes – you know I love a cube or 6.
Zip sleepsuits – Miles always sleeps in zippy suits as I’m too lazy for poppers but they are especially handy for the baby to travel in.
Travel Hack Cabin Case – a generous, well thought out cabin case designed by a fellow travel blogger. We took this and a changing bag on the plane.
