#SydneyMoments Insta Gallery

The day had started out glorious. In fact, as the temperature gauge on my phone showed 29 degrees before 9am I was concerned it would be too hot for our walk. But when I made my way to the Milsons Wharf meeting point for 6pm, suddenly everything changed. Clouds covered every speck of blue in the sky and the wind blew so strong I thought I might end up in the harbour instead of photographing it!

Luckily our hardy group of Instagrammers didn’t let a little wind put them off. Together we braved the wind and a few random showers and the group took incredible photos of Sydney despite the slightly challenging photography conditions.

I’d designed the #SydneyMoments Insta Walk in association with KODAK MOMENTS to showcase some of my favourite angles to photograph Sydney. From the North Olympic Pool, under the bridge, past the Opera House and through the gardens to Woolloomooloo, we snapped away, capturing Sydney moments from our different perspectives.

Below is a snapshot of some of the photos taken on the night. I love how everyone has captured and captioned the scene slightly differently – giving their own perspective on this scenic city.

The wind’s not stopping us! Thank you to @jayneytravels for hosting this fabulous evening! #livelike_xo #sydneymoments #kodakmomentsau

I’d like to say a massive thanks to everyone who came and shared their moments with me.

Thanks also to KODAK MOMENTS  who are offering all Aussie readers a 30% discount on photo prints from their smart app when selecting ship to home between now and 21st December (terms and conditions apply, click here for details). Download the app for iphone here and android here and use code GTW30OFF at checkout to save on prints –  just in time for Christmas!

Thanks also to Harry’s Cafe De Wheels who provided us with some much needed pies and peas at the end of the walk and a quirky setting to enjoy them in.

I’d love to another event like this in future – maybe around the street art and cake shops in Newtown?! Let me know if this is something you might be interested in and I’ll get planning! J x

What a great walk and some wonderful pictures that came out of it despite the stormy weather and small showers! Cake shops and street art? Yes please! Sounds like a fantastic idea 🙂

Thanks so much for coming Carolin. I think we all proved that Sydney looks pretty even with a few rain clouds. I’ll let you know when the next one will be 🙂
