How To Have A Beautiful Day In Sydney: Vaniday App Review

As someone who is always on the go it can be hard to find the time to call the hairdressers for an appointment, let alone indulge in a much-needed massage after a long-haul flight. (Not just me who gets off flights with aches in strange places, is it?) But recently I came across Vaniday, an app that makes booking beauty treatments in Sydney a breeze and tempts me with such good value offers that I’m making the time to enjoy them.

Here’s why you should too..

What Is Vaniday?

Vaniday is a beauty booking service that makes arranging your next hair, beauty or massage service as pain-free as possible! Finding and booking appointments takes just a few simple steps. From the main menu you select either the hair, nail, makeup, waxing, massage, or spa experiences and Vaniday pulls up a list of options within your area. You can narrow down the search field to find specific services and then filter the results according to price and availability.

The listings have photos, menus and user reviews to help you make a final decision and then it’s a simple matter of booking your date and time – you won’t need to make a single phone call. Most services are paid up front via the app so there’s no need to worry about having the right cash on the day either. Everything is taken care of.

My Vaniday Experience(s)

I’ve used Vaniday for a number of treatments – including a last-minute hair cut before a wedding in Melbourne that would not have been possible without Vaniday. Most recently I treated myself to a post-flight massage at Secret World Thai Massage and I was seriously impressed with the spa and their service.

Based in Newtown, this spa is just 3 months old and I never would have come across it without searching for offers in my local area on Vaniday. The decor is funky and fresh, staff are absolutely delightful and the 1 hour signature massage ($59) I experienced was 100% pure bliss – I’m going back as soon as I get another chance!

Using natural coconut oil my massage was a mixture of relaxing scents and invigorating Thai techniques. I had a lot of knots in my shoulders after travelling/hunching over a laptop so my kind masseuse went overtime to work them out. Like I said – I’ll be back!

I also tried out a new (to me) hair salon in Newtown after finding a deal on Vaniday. I’ve always admired the artwork outside Head Over Heels but wasn’t sure if I’d be able to afford a service there. On Vaniday, however, I found a cut and style with an emerging artist for $70 and booked myself in.

Katee turned out to be a fantastic new talent who immediately understood my hair type and set to work sorting out the bits I was unhappy with about my previous cut. She listened to my concerns and then worked away to make sure I wouldn’t suffer from a flicking bob anymore. She inserted light layers underneath, added a slight graduation to the back and my hair has sat perfectly ever since. She confidently gave me her card at the end of the cut saying ‘I think I’ll be seeing you again.’ Indeed she will.

My new neat bob!

Why Book With Vaniday?

Apart from how easily you can search for and book great services, Vaniday also offer the extra incentive of earning 10% cashback on every booking you make via the app. Whether you pay online or at the salon you’ll earn a 10% cashback bonus that you can redeem on future appointments.

Give It A Go & Save

It gets better! Vaniday have kindly offered all blog readers a $15 voucher! Simply use the code JAYNE15 when making your first booking. There’s no minimum spend so you can put it towards whatever treat you fancy. This code expires on the 31/01/2017 so maybe use it on a pre or post-Xmas make over 🙂

Visit the Vaniday website and download the app for apple or android.

I received a voucher which I used for the 2 bookings mentioned above but was not paid for this review. All opinions are my own. I’d been using (and loving) Vaniday before the team got in touch!

I really like the way Vaniday provides small business the tools to take bookings on their website. You think this allows SME’s another channel to monetise their site.
