London Photoshoot With Flytographer

I have to thanks Mrs O for alerting me to this nifty photography service. After seeing some gorgeous shots she had done of her and the hubby in Paris it got me thinking how nice it would be to have some professional shots of London life to use around my blog and social media. For many years I have been the one behind the camera and am not the most natural of people in front of it. Luckily my Flytographer photographer, Alexandra, knew just how to handle this.

What is Flytographer?

flytographerFlytographer is a network of professional photographers in over 85 cities around the world. They specialise in capturing your special travel moments – be it a honeymoon, engagement, birthday, anniversary or girlie getaway.

The booking process is incredibly easy and impressively slick. As I wanted some photos with London as the backdrop I checked out the profile of the photographers Flytographer have based here.

On the photographer’s profiles you can read all about their interests and styles as well as the languages they speak. I booked with the beautiful Alexandra from Chile by selecting the time and date I wanted on the online booking form. Within hours my shoot was confirmed. I was able to give Alexandra a short brief on the style and purpose of the shoot as well as my profile picture so she knew who to find at the meeting point!

For our shoot on Friday I met Alexandra at Shoreditch High Street Station, she WhatsApped me to say she had arrived 10 minutes prior to our start time. From there we had a short chat on the locations she had in mind as well as some of the shots I would like set up. Alexandra’s ideas for photos, as well as her professionalism, friendliness and speed far exceeded all my expectations. She put me at ease and made sure this wooden model got exactly the types of shots she was hoping for!

So without further ado, here are the results.

More Info

We did this shoot on Friday and by Sunday morning I had a link to the photo gallery and a zip file to download – that’s how speedy it is. The 60 minute shoot package I booked comes with 30 photos – I’ve just selected my favourite to share with you for now.

As someone who usually hates photos of herself I was surprised and delighted to find I liked everything Alexandra sent through to me. I’d love to know which are your favourites so I know which ones to use as my profile pics?!

The Flytographer packages and prices are as follows:

THE SHORT STORYTELLER: 30 minutes with a local photographer (one neighbourhood), 15 digital photos, £150

THE SUBTLE CHRONICLER: 60 minutes with a local photographer (one to two neighbourhoods), 30 digital
photos, £200

A ROMP AROUND THE CITY: 2 hours with a local photographer (multiple locations across the city), 60 digital
photos, £350

Visit Flytographer for more information.

Disclosure: I received a media discount in exchange for this review. All opinions and praise of the experience remain, as always, my own.

  1. Love this idea – I’ve seen people use it with groups of friends or couples but never thought of getting location portrait shots, such a great idea as I’m usually the one behind the camera and struggle to find any pics with me in!

    • Me too! I had no shots of me that involved more than just my head! Am finding it handy as a blogger/writer to have some better shots on file to use in guest posts and things.

    • Your photos are beautiful! I didn’t know they had Flytogrpaher in Bali so that’s great to know we can work with them again on this side of the world. Happy anniversary 🙂
